Across our client network there are varied rates which include, flat rates, day & night shift rates, rates based on experience (client specific), public holiday rates and tool allowances. Here are some examples of rates you can earn as a chef per hour:
• Flat, Day & Night Shift Rates vary from: $37 – $41.93/hr
• Public Holiday Rates vary from: $59.55 – $65.73/hr
• Tool Allowance: $1.80/hr (client specific)

What is a typical FIFO Chef salary?

Across our client network there are varied salaries. An example of a salary you can earn as a FIFO Chef is $80-90K plus superannuation.

What is a typical FIFO Chef Job Description?

Prepare, cook, and serve meals across breakfast, lunch, dinner and functions for residents and guests
• Bulk cooking buffet style
• Chefs will be required to cook on-site from 10 people through to 3000, alone
or in teams
• As breakfast chef, you will be required to work night shift and provide breakfast, desserts and crib (selection of lunch items like wraps, sandwiches, cakes, salads)
• Maintain food safety standards in line with company policies, and adhere to legislated food hygiene and general safety practices
• Work within budgeted food costs
• Provide fast, effective service with a friendly demeanour in our kitchens
• Ability to understand and control food costs, wastage and levels
• Assistance with stock ordering and rotation
